If you have young children then you know how much of a pain it can be to get them to sit still so you can take their temperature. Shoving something under their arm or tongue can make them upset (especially if they have sensory issues) and make it difficult to get an accurate reading. We have thought for a while that getting one that you put in your child’s ear would be something we should get. But still, I don’t know if Little Miss would do well with that either because of her sensory issues. When I received a pitch to review a Temple Touch Thermometer I jumped at the chance. The Temple Touch Thermometer is made by ReliOn and is non-invasive, easy to use, gives an accurate reading in just 6 seconds and has a memory recall on it. All you do is hold the thermometer to your child’s temple and within 6 very short seconds you have your reading. I love that you don’t need to apply much pressure so you can take your child’s temperature while they’re asleep. And since it only touches their temple there is no need for tip covers.
Just to test out how sensitive and delicate it is I tried it on my son while he was asleep on our bed one day. I crept in and placed the thermometer on his temple and waited for the beep. He didn’t wake up, although, he did move a little when it beeped. Depending on how deep your child sleeps they will never even know you take their temperature which in my opinion is wonderful because there’s nothing worse than waking up your child to get their temp when they are crabby, it’s late and they don’t feel well.

- Press on/off button once and release
